Activision has dropped a new multiplayer trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The trailer offers a glimpse of what players can expect in the highly-anticipated multiplayer beta, set to kick off shortly.

The trailer, which can be viewed below, showcases the typical action-packed gameplay, intense firefights, and the signature cinematic style that the Call of Duty franchise is known for.

MW3 Beta Seems to Feature MW2 Maps

While the trailer provides a taste of what’s to come, the full unveiling of Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer features is slated for the upcoming Call of Duty Next showcase, scheduled for October 5. Fans can expect a deeper dive into the game’s multiplayer modes, weapons, and much more during the event.

The first of two Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer beta weekends is set to commence on October 6, and it comes with an exclusive twist. During this initial beta period, the game will be available exclusively on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, giving Sony console owners an early opportunity to experience the game’s multiplayer action.

Modern Warfare 3 is set to include updated versions of all 16 launch maps from its predecessor, Modern Warfare 2, released in 2009. These iconic maps include Afghan, Derail, Estate, Favela, Karachi, Highrise, Invasion, Quarry, Rundown, Rust, Scrapyard, Skidrow, Sub Base, Terminal, Underpass, and Wasteland. A selection of these remastered maps will be available for players to explore during the multiplayer beta, promising nostalgic moments for veterans of the franchise.

Additionally, the second beta weekend, set to follow the first, will introduce cross-play support, allowing PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players to join forces or compete against each other, creating a truly immersive gaming experience.

But that’s not all that’s in store for fans of the Call of Duty series. The Call of Duty Next broadcast on Thursday will also feature a sneak peek at Zombies mode, a brand-new Call of Duty Warzone map, and even the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, expanding the franchise’s reach to mobile gamers.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is slated for release on November 10, 2023. Developed under the guidance of Sledgehammer Games, in collaboration with Infinity Ward, this game promises to deliver an epic gaming experience, building upon the success of its predecessor, Modern Warfare 2.
