After its original reveal way back in 2017, Skull & Bones has finally resurfaced during the official Ubisoft Forward showcase, bringing fresh signs of life to the highly anticipated game.
The event featured a captivating live musical performance by the band Home Free, who sang a title track sea shanty from the game while footage of gameplay, including blasting, sailing, and exploration, played in the background. This unique approach effectively showcased the game and highlighted the quality of its upcoming soundtrack.
However, the real news came after the performance. An on-screen infographic unveiled that a closed beta for Skull & Bones is scheduled from August 25 to August 28 of this year, offering eager players the opportunity to finally immerse themselves in the game. Those interested can sign up to participate in the beta by visiting the official website.
This announcement brings relief to fans who have been eagerly awaiting updates on the game’s development progress since its most recent delay last year. The trailer itself is packed with exciting content, and we highly recommend watching it in its entirety below.
Skull & Bones is still on track for a 2023 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
In related news, Assassin’s Creed Mirage was also showcased at Ubisoft Forward 2023. Elsewhere, we recently got our first look at Fable 4 during Microsoft’s Xbox showcase.
