Following the conclusion of Valorant’s latest esports major, VCT Tokyo, Riot Games has now officially revealed its latest Agent. Called Deadlock, the Norwegian Sentinel has a belt of utility that reminds us of cypher, except she’s much more mobile. Her abilities have now been revealed in full, and video demonstrations showcase a kit that actually looks very powerful indeed.
New Valorant Agent Deadlock Abilities Revealed
In case you missed our roundup of everything we knew about Deadlock over the past week or so, the abilities are as follows:
- GravNet (C)
- EQUIP a GravNet grenade. FIRE to throw. ALT FIRE to lob the grenade underhand. The GravNet detonates upon landing, forcing any enemies caught within to crouch and move slowly.
- Sonic Sensor (Q)
- EQUIP a Sonic Sensor. FIRE to deploy. The sensor monitors an area for enemies making sound. It concusses that area if footsteps, weapons fire, or significant noise are detected.
- Barrier Mesh (E)
- EQUIP a Barrier Mesh disc. FIRE to throw forward. Upon landing, the disc generates barriers from the origin point that block character movement.
- Annihilation (X)
- EQUIP a Nanowire Accelerator. FIRE to unleash a pulse of nanowires that captures the first enemy contacted. The cocooned enemy is pulled along a nanowire path and will die if they reach the end, unless they are freed. The nanowire cocoon is destructible.
Here’s a look at the official Riot Games trailer:
As you can see, the ultimate ability ‘Annihilation’ looks especially powerful. Perhaps too powerful? We’re not quite sure how somebody is supposed to win a 1v1 versus such an ability, but we’ll have to wait and see.
