Announced today via the PSBlog, there’s a Complete Edition of Horizon Forbidden West on the way, and it’s coming to both PlayStation and PC platforms. The Sony console will receive the game first on October 6, while PC players won’t get their hands on it until 2024.

In Horizon Forbidden West, players will once again step into the shoes of Aloy, the formidable machine hunter. Following the events of Horizon Zero Dawn, Aloy finds herself in a race against time to rescue the planet’s fragile biosphere from impending doom. As savage storms and an enigmatic blight threaten the remnants of humanity, Aloy’s mission unveils sinister secrets that will lead her to confront ever-deadlier adversaries.
The heart of this expansion lies in the Forbidden West, a perilous frontier brimming with awe-inspiring machines and new tribal cultures. Players will also have the opportunity to explore the treacherous Burning Shores and the ruins of Los Angeles, creating a vast and captivating gaming experience.
The Complete Edition of Horizon Forbidden West comes bundled with the main game, as well as the Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores DLC. Additionally, players will receive a digital soundtrack, a digital art book, and the first volume of the Horizon Zero Dawn digital comic book, titled “The Sunhawk.” These extras will provide players with an even deeper dive into the rich lore of the Horizon universe.
Furthermore, players can expect a range of in-game items, including special extras in Photo Mode like unique poses and face paint, as well as items unlocked through story progression such as the Carja Behemoth Elite outfit, Carja Behemoth Short Bow, Nora Thunder Elite outfit, Nora Thunder Sling, Apex Clawstrider Machine Strike piece, and a valuable resources pack. The game will also be available in multiple languages to cater to a global audience.

For PlayStation 5 owners, Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition will be priced at $59.99 USD / €69.99 / ¥7,980, offering an enticing package for both newcomers and seasoned fans of the series.
PC gamers won’t be left out of the action. In collaboration with Nixxes Software, Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition is scheduled to arrive on Steam and the Epic Games Store in early 2024.
