The latest BitLife challenge brings the Wild West to life with the “Save a Horse Challenge.” From Texas roots to becoming a vet, owning a ranch, and—let’s not forget—buying a stable full of horses, there’s plenty to wrangle with in this challenge. Here’s a step-by-step guide to getting through it, along with a few handy tips for nailing each task.
Challenge Breakdown:
To complete the Save a Horse Challenge, you need to tick off five tasks:
- Be born in Texas.
- Become a veterinarian.
- Own an equestrian ranch.
- Buy five or more horses.
- Hook up with five or more men.
Now, let’s get into the details of how to check each of these tasks.
1. Be Born in Texas
This one is easy to set up at the start of your new life. Here’s how:
- Head to the Activities tab and surrender your current life.
- Start a new custom life.
- Select the United States as your country and pick a Texas city for your birthplace (Austin, Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio work best).
- Set your character’s attributes like looks and smarts if you want a smoother ride through the rest of the challenge. Maxing these out will help later when it’s time to become a vet.
2. Become a Veterinarian
Becoming a veterinarian takes dedication, and you’ll need to hit the books early. Here’s the path:
- Make sure to Study Hard throughout primary and secondary school.
- When you finish high school, head to university and major in a science-related field, like Biology or Nursing. It’s your ticket into medical school.
- After university, apply for Veterinary School under the Education menu. Again, studying hard will help you graduate successfully.
- Once you’ve got your vet degree, apply for a job at a veterinary clinic. You might start as an intern, but after a bit of grinding, you’ll earn that vet title.
3. Own an Equestrian Ranch
Now that you’re a fully-fledged vet, it’s time to aim for some property. Buying an equestrian ranch isn’t cheap, so you’ll need to save up.
- Head to the Assets tab and click Go Shopping.
- Check the listings regularly for an equestrian ranch. It’s one of the more expensive properties, so keep working and saving if you’re short on cash.
- If you’re lucky, inheritance or a hefty salary will get you there faster. Otherwise, patience is key.
4. Buy 5+ Horses
Now that you have your ranch, it’s time to fill those stables.
- Go to the Activities tab and open the Pets menu.
- Select the Horse Ranch option and buy as many horses as needed. You’ll need five to complete the challenge, but you can go for more if you want to go all out.
- Don’t forget, you can name your horses to add a bit of personal flair!
5. Hook Up with 5+ Men
This final task might sound tricky, but BitLife gives you plenty of opportunities to mix things up romantically.
- If you haven’t hooked up with anyone by the time you finish vet school, head to the Love menu under Activities.
- Choose the Hook Up option and find partners. Repeat the process until you’ve had at least five hookups. It doesn’t matter whether they’re brief encounters or something more serious—just tick the box five times, and you’re done.
