Activision has officially announced that the release window for the highly anticipated mobile adaptation of the popular battle royale game has been pushed back to 2024, delaying its launch for iOS and Android devices by several months.
Initially, fans had been expecting the mobile version to drop sometime this year, but Activision has decided to extend the development period to ensure a polished and engaging experience for players. The revised release date is set for the spring of 2024.
COD Warzone Mobile Delay Officially Confirmed by Activision
The revelation of this delay came after the official announcement of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile in September of last year. The game is being co-developed by a collaboration of studios including Activision’s Shanghai, Beenox, Digital Legends, and Solid State studios.
A limited release of the game commenced in Australia in November of the same year, gradually rolling out to additional countries, including Chile, Norway, and Sweden, throughout the current year. This soft launch provided valuable insights and feedback for the developers.
