So you like Pokemon, huh? What about capturing creatures who can wield machine guns? Yeah, Palworld has our attention too, and it’s coming sooner rather than later for all platforms and Xbox Game Pass. Developer Pocket Pair has unveiled a new Palworld trailer, confirming the upcoming open-world survival crafting game’s Early Access release date of Jan 19.
In Palworld, players find themselves in a world inhabited by enigmatic creatures known as “Pals.” You’ll have the opportunity to capture, train, and even sell these Pals. Explore a vast open world and embark on adventures alongside your Pals.
Early Access is expected to last for a minimum of one year, during which players can look forward to numerous additions and improvements through regular updates. The game already boasts a variety of core features, including monster catching, battles, exploration, building, and crafting. With over 100 unique monsters, a vast open world, more than 350 items, and over 70 types of buildings, Palworld promises an immersive gaming experience.
Not least because, rather unusually, in addition to capturing fuzzy creatures players can arm themselves with an eclectic range of weapons too. And not just traditional bows and swords but also modern firearms like assault rifles and rocket launchers. The sight of Pokemon-like creatures brandishing guns is definitely a unique flavor.
As alluded to above, the game allows you to build and manage your base with the assistance of your Pals, who take on roles like production, farming, and cooking, all while ensuring their needs are met. Palworld also encourages collaboration by supporting multiplayer for up to 32 players, providing an opportunity to tackle challenges together and even engage in Player Battles in future updates.
There’s no doubt Palworld’s strange blend of creature collecting, firearms, base management, and multiplayer dynamics puts it firmly on our radar.
