We’re having a great time with Palworld, but it certainly isn’t without its bugs. We’ve covered some of the more common crashing issues and how to recover lost save data. And one of the latest issues we’ve found is with the Memory Wiping Medicine mechanic. Essentially how you respec your Pals, it’s bugged right now. So much so, that you definitely shouldn’t be using it until a hotfix is issued. Let’s break down the topic and explain.
Palworld Memory Wiping Medicine Bug
So, what’s the problem, exactly? Well, as it turns out there’s an existing problem with the Memory Wiping Medicine that has been confirmed by the game’s developer, Pocket Pair, Inc. Apparently, using this item can negatively impact your character’s catch rate.
In a recent Discord post on the game’s official hub, the community manager explained:
“Currently, using the item [Memory Wiping Medicine] that resets the player’s status may reduce the player’s capture power and make it impossible to cover. We are currently investigating this issue, so we apologize for the inconvenience, but please refrain from using it until the investigation/correction is complete.”
We’ll update this article when you can use the item again without worrying about causing an issue.
How to Craft It
If you’re determined to get some Memory Wiping Medicine, you’ll need an Electric Medicine Workbench and a Power Generator. Also, you’ll need specific items.
The required items to craft Memory Wiping Medicine are:
- 99 Beautiful Flower (dropped by Lyleen, Petallia, Ribbuny, Special Flower Gumoss, Wumpo, Wumpo Botan)
- 50 Horn (dropped by Arsox, Caprity, Eikthyrdeer, Eikthyrdeer Terra, Fenglope, Incineram, Incineram Noct, Reindrix, and Univolt)
- 50 Bone (dropped by Anubis, Bushi, Cawgnito, Gorirat, Loupmoon, Maraith, Rushoar, Vanwyrm, Vanwrym Cyst, Verdash, and Vixy)
- Pal Fluids (dropped by Celaray, Fuack, Gobfin, Jormunitide, Kelpsea, Lyleen Noct, Pengullet, Surfent, Surfent Terra, Suzaku Aqwua, Teafant)

Again, we really don’t recommend using Memory Wiping Medicine right now. Clearly, the developers are aware of the problem and are working towards a resolution.
