Bankai is the second and more powerful stage after Shikai, and it’s essentially the ultimate form of a Shinigami’s weapon, which offers a big boost in power and new abilities. Thanks to the latest update of the game, achieving this is way easier and faster. Here we’ll explain how to get Bankai in Type Soul if you’re struggling to work it out.
Getting Bankai in Type Soul
Bankai has a few requirements as part of the overall process, but it’s much less of a grind than it used to be. Note that you must be Elite Grade, otherwise this won’t work.
To kick things off, you’ve got to join the ranks of the Shinigami, which means taking a one-way trip to the afterlife and tracking down Kisuke. Once you’ve done that, you’re all set to tackle missions and take down Hollows, which is your ticket to unlocking Meditation and getting Shikai. Now, you can properly begin.
Stage 1
First things first, you need to get either 15-20 Raid wins or 25-30 Ranked wins. Our advice is to just to the Raids since they’re much less than they used to be (which was over 100).
If you’re looking to speed up the process then we recommend playing with friends. You can also use free codes for a helping hand.
It’s also worth checking your progress on the requirements listed above with the NPC in Karakura Town (pictured above). Every time you check in with him he will say something different; here’s what all the dialog means:
- 0%: “You will never become anything, compared to what I am.”
- 20%: “A couple of kills wont get you anywhere, stop bothering me.”
- 40%: “Why do you keep coming back? You’re still pathetic.”
- 60%: “Maybe you’re not so bad after all, but I’m still not impressed.”
- 80%: “You’re quite unbelievable, you know that?”
- 100%: “Unequaled, unrivaled, go make me proud lil bro.”
Stage 2
Ok, so this part of the quest requires you to complete all the steps without dying. If you die you will reset and have to complete it all again. Now, for the requirements:
- Collect 15 Grips from Elite enemies of opposite factions.
- 80 Hollow kills, 1 Bawa or Jidanbo kill (These bosses spawn in specific locations, with a respawn time of 1 hour and 30 minutes. Choose whichever is more convenient for you).
Stage 3
For Stage 3, the tasks will be different for Arrancars, Quincy, and Bankai. When it comes to the latter, it’s a boss fight.
