Bethesda’s popular RPG, Starfield, is finally set to receive DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) support for PC, as indicated in the latest patch notes. It’s not quite here yet, with the latest patch focusing on other fixes and content, but the notes contained a note of the publisher’s intention to incorporate DLSS support in a forthcoming release.
Starfield DLSS Is Coming, Patch Notes Reveal
The news of DLSS support being on the horizon was unveiled in the recent patch notes for Starfield, currently available on Steam. These patch notes highlight the inclusion of stability enhancements for the Xbox Series X / S version of the game, with a future commitment to bring DLSS support to the PC version.
In an official blog post published on the Bethesda website, the developers revealed their collaboration with Nvidia, stating, “This first update is a small hotfix targeted at the few top issues we are seeing. After that, expect a regular interval of updates that have top community-requested features, including:
- Brightness and Contrast controls
- HDR Calibration Menu
- FOV Slider
- Nvidia DLSS Support (PC)
- 32:9 Ultrawide Monitor Support (PC)
- Eat button for food
“We’re also working closely with Nvidia, AMD, and Intel on driver support, and each update will include new stability and performance improvements.”
