Cheating the system.

If you’re looking for a quick and effortless way to rack up XP in Avowed, there’s an exploit that lets you repeatedly claim quest rewards—netting you infinite XP and gold with minimal effort. This glitch takes advantage of a bug in the Nature vs. Nurture questline, allowing you to farm XP and valuable items indefinitely. Here’s how to do it before it inevitably gets patched out.

How the Avowed XP Glitch Works

The glitch occurs in the Emerald Star region of Avowed and revolves around skipping to a later stage in the Nature vs. Nurture questline. By manipulating dialogue choices and NPC interactions, you can repeatedly claim a quest reward (without actually progressing past a certain point) allowing you to farm XP and gold endlessly.

The key to this exploit is not triggering the quest too early and following precise dialogue options to bug the quest into a loop.

Step-by-Step Guide to Infinite XP & Gold

1. Reach Emerald Star

To start, progress through the main story until you unlock the second explorable area, Emerald Star. This happens fairly early in the game, so new players won’t have to wait long to attempt this glitch.

2. Avoid the Farmer’s Market

Once you arrive in Emerald Star, do not speak to any NPCs in the Farmer’s Market. The Nature vs. Nurture questline originates here, but speaking to the wrong NPCs first can break the glitch.

3. Travel to the Fortified Zur Camp Beacon

Head north to the Fortified Zur Camp Beacon. Here, you’ll encounter a seemingly neutral faction of Zur warriors who won’t attack you. Enter a nearby cave where you’ll find an NPC named Amadio.

4. Follow These Exact Dialogue Choices

When speaking with Amadio, select the following options:

  • “How are you standing among the Zur?”
  • “So what do you send them out on raids for your own benefit?”
  • “Makes a lot of sense. What’s your plan?”
  • “You’re just trying to protect the land. I support that.”

Choosing these options will start Nature vs. Nurture partway through the quest, which is the key to triggering the exploit.

5. Fast Travel to the Farmer’s Market

Now that the quest has been improperly triggered, return to the Farmer’s Market and find two NPC farmers. Speak to them and follow these dialogue choices:

  • “Having trouble? Think they’re going to stop?”
  • “Maybe we can do something about it.”

This will complete a portion of the quest instantly, skipping further progression and unlocking the next phase.

6. Speak to the Farmers Again

Immediately talk to the farmers once more and choose:

  • “I took care of the problem. Call off the Rangers.”

They will reward you with a unique ring called the Pain of Amplification, which isn’t needed for the exploit but is an extra bonus.

7. Return to the Fortified Zur Camp Beacon

Fast travel back to the Fortified Zur Camp Beacon and enter the cave again. You’ll notice Amadio is missing, confirming that the glitch has worked. Exit the cave and head down to the nearby water area, where you’ll find Amadio standing there instead.

8. Infinite XP & Gold Loop

When you speak to Amadio in this new location, he will have only one dialogue option. Selecting it will reward you with a pair of Wolf Boots, a unique item that sells for 300 gold each.

The exploit allows you to keep talking to him repeatedly, receiving an unlimited number of Wolf Boots. Each time you claim the reward, you also gain XP, making this a completely effortless way to farm both XP and gold.

Maximizing Your Gains

  • Sell the Wolf Boots at any vendor to stockpile gold. Each boot is worth 300 gold, meaning a few minutes of farming can make you incredibly wealthy.
  • Fast travel away and return if needed—Amadio will still be in the water, ready to hand over more boots.
  • Use this glitch as soon as possible before Obsidian Entertainment patches it out.

This Avowed XP glitch is one of the easiest ways to level up fast and get rich early in the game. Whether you’re looking to speed up progression or simply want to break the economy, this exploit is a must-use before it inevitably gets fixed.
