Acrid Pod

Location: Commonly found on rocks near water across Pandora.
Uses: Vital for crafting special ammo types.
Collection Method: Found naturally, no special requirements.

Budding Watcher

Location: Clouded Forest.
Collection Method: Follow the trail of small white mushrooms. At the end, you can interact with mushrooms that will open the larger one.

Blaze Fruit

Blaze Fruit Location: Boundless Range, floating mountains (west of the Hometree).
Uses: Cooking Ingredient that grants Hearty II when used as the primary ingredient. Grants +35% base health.
Collection Method: Use the inspect feature. Access Whip Leaf entry in Hunter’s Journal and pin, as using Na’Vi senses will then make them glow yellow.

Blood Leaf Resin

Location: Central Upper Plains, especially on northern cliffs between Kefehar Falls and Mother’s Tears.
Ideal Condition: Sheltered from wind.
Collection Method: Pull upwards from Blood Leaf Trees.

Blood Leaf Bark

Location: Blood Leaf Trees in The Crimson Tree Biome in the Celebration Valley.
Ideal Condition: Nighttime.
Collection Method: No special requirements, but need a Direhorse to get them.

Blue Cloud Moss

Location: On large rocks in Boulderlands Biome, Clouded Forest, and near Singer’s Falls.

Vineshroom

Location: Grows on the bottom of the floating islands. Try the ones above Shadow Wood.
Use: Grants Ambush effect when used as a primary cooking ingredient.
Collection Method: Simply go close to automatically grab it. Need an Ikran since they’re under floating islands.

Whipfang Crawler Bone

Location: Commonly found in the Scarlet Thicket Biome of the Clouded Forest.
Weak Spot: Aim for the throat to bring down the Whipfang Crawler more effectively.
Collection Method: Defeat the Whipfang Crawler, targeting its weak spot for an efficient takedown.
Uses: The bones are used in crafting various weapons and tools.
Also Drops: Along with the bone, Whipfang Crawlers drop Fatty Meat, essential for various culinary recipes to boost health and stamina.

White Moss Forest Thanator Bone

Location: Predominantly located northeast of Carver’s River in the center of the Cradling Pines within the eastern Clouded Forest.
Weak Spot: Focus attacks on the breathing orifices on the neck to weaken the White Moss Forest Thanator.
Collection Method: Engage and defeat the White Moss Forest Thanator, utilizing its weak spot for a strategic advantage.
Uses: These bones are vital in crafting high-tier armor and weaponry, providing substantial durability and damage.
Also Drops: In addition to the bone, harvesting a White Moss Forest Thanator provides Heavy Hide and Lean Meat, valuable for creating durable clothing and nutritious meals, respectively.

Yoten Egg

Location: Rainforest Biome, Kinglor Forest, and Floating Mountains in The Boundless Range.
Ideal Condition: Dry weather.

Exquisite ingredients in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora are a rare and highly sought-after category of crafting materials that directly impact the quality and power of the gear and meals you can create. These ingredients are characterized by a gold border and are the highest rarity tier among all crafting materials, making them crucial for crafting top-tier items.

To obtain Exquisite ingredients, you’ll need to hit specific requirements:

Lower Global Pollution Levels: The key to acquiring the best ingredients in the game is to reduce Global Pollution Levels. This is achieved by eliminating RDA (Resources Development Administration) facilities throughout the game’s world. RDA facilities not only pollute their immediate surroundings but also affect the overall quality of ingredients across the entire map.

Milestones and Rewards: Lowering pollution levels leads to different milestones and rewards. Track their progress by going to the Journal, then World Knowledge, and selecting Global Pollution. Upon reaching the third milestone called “Revitalized Habitats,” Exquisite ingredients become available for gathering or hunting.

Revitalized Habitats Effects: Achieving the Revitalized Habitats milestone has several effects, including the ability to find mature animals for hunting and the occasional availability of Superior ingredients in Exquisite quality.

Clear Skies and Returning Life: Continuing to reduce pollution beyond Revitalized Habitats unlocks additional milestones, such as “Clear Skies” and “Returning Life.” Clear Skies makes Exquisite Ingredients more likely to spawn, while Returning Life causes Exquisite Ingredients to be surrounded by a swarm of Kaleidoscope Butterflies, making them even easier to locate.

Use the Hunter’s Guide: To maximize your chances of finding Exquisite ingredients, consult the Hunter’s Guide, which provides information on where to find rare variants of specific ingredients. Being in the correct biome and location is essential, as Exquisite ingredients are location-specific.

Unlock Skills: Certain skills within the Hunter and Maker skill trees can aid in the search for Exquisite items. For example, the Hunter skill tree includes a skill that highlights mature animals with a purple aura when using Na’vi Senses, which are the animals that drop Exquisite ingredients. Additionally, the Maker skill tree has a skill that allows Na’vi vendors to sell Exquisite Ingredients.

Meet Hunting and Harvesting Bonuses: When hunting for Exquisite ingredients from mature animals, aim to meet both hunting and harvesting bonuses. For Harvesting, these bonuses include “Pristine” and “Environmental Conditions,” while for Hunting, they are “Clean Kill” and “Merciful.” Meeting these bonuses doesn’t increase the rarity tier of an item but enhances its sub-tier, resulting in more powerful crafting ingredients.
