Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 isn’t exactly forgiving. Warhorse Studios designed it to be a gritty, immersive RPG where every Groschen is hard-earned, and every fight could be your last. But if you’d rather skip the grind—or just want to have some fun—console commands can give you infinite money, unlock items, or even send your horse soaring into the heavens.
Many of these cheats return from the first game, and using them is just as easy. Just be aware that messing with console commands can break quests or game mechanics, so use them responsibly (or recklessly—it’s your save file).
Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about enabling cheats, opening the console, and a list of the best commands to use.
How to Use Console Commands in KCD2
To open the console, simply press the tilde key (`) while in-game. However, most cheats won’t work unless you enable developer mode first. Here’s how to do that:
- Open Steam.
- Right-click Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and select Properties.
- Under Launch Options, type:diffCopyEdit
-devmode
- Launch the game, and you’re ready to start cheating.
If you want to see all available console commands, type ?_
into the console and press Enter—though many of them are undocumented and hard to decipher. Instead, I’ve compiled a list of the most useful and fun ones below.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Console Commands
Command | Effect |
---|---|
wh_sys_NoSavePotion = 1 | Allows saving without Saviour Schnapps. Set to 1 to enable, 0 to disable. |
wh_cheat_money X | Adds X amount of Groschen to your inventory. |
wh_horse_StealCurrentHorse | Instantly steals the horse you’re riding, making it your own. Be aware that ownership may reset when loading a save or changing regions. |
wh_rpg_OneShotKill = 1 | Enables one-shot kills—but also makes enemies one-shot you. Dodge wisely. |
wh_horse_JumpHeight = 200 | Boosts your horse’s jump height. The default is 1, but anything around 200 lets you achieve liftoff. |
wh_horse_JumpGravityMult = -0.1 | Reduces your horse’s gravity. Setting it between -0.1 and -1 can send it into the sky with no way down. Save before trying this. |
wh_pl_LockPickingShakeOverride = 0 | Stops the lockpick shaking, making lockpicking much easier. |
wh_pl_LockPickingDOF = 50 | Increases the time before a lockpick breaks, giving you more time to pick locks. |
wh_ui_showHUD = 0 | Hides the HUD for cleaner first-person screenshots. Toggle back with wh_ui_showHUD = 1 . |
wh_cheat_addItem X | Spawns an item in your inventory. Replace X with the item’s ID. |
Item ID List
Many item IDs from the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance still work in KCD2, though weapons and armor have changed. Here are some useful ones that I’ve tested:

---|---|
Saviour Schnapps | 928463d9-e21a-4f7c-b5d3-8378ed375cd1 |
Marigold Decoction | B38c34b7-6016-4f64-9ba2-65e1ce31d4a1 |
Smoked Sausage | 29a4f58e-6e00-4f9c-9273-1a76e0eccff0 |
Armorer’s Kit | 167eb312-0e9d-4c2f-8ce3-56c32f5a84cb |
Tailor’s Kit | 9f7a0c0a-6458-4622-9cc5-2f4dd4898b50 |
Blacksmith’s Kit | C707733a-c0a7-4f02-b684-9392b0b15b83 |

While armor and weapon IDs remain a mystery for now, modders will likely uncover them soon. Until then, enjoy your newfound riches, infinite saves, and gravity-defying horse.
