Embark on a journey from a boy in New York to a successful scientist, father triplets, own a primate, and forge an unbreakable bond with a pet cat. Beating the Professor of Cityburg Challenge, Explained
1. Be Born a Male in New York
The first task is simple but crucial. If you’re not already a male born in New York, you’ll need to create a new life. The best way to do this is through a custom life. Head to the Activities tab and choose Surrender. Once you’ve surrendered your current life, opt for Custom Life.
In the setup screen:
- Set your Gender to Male.
- Set your Country to the United States and Place to New York (or Brooklyn/Buffalo).
- Max out your Smarts at 100%.
Starting with a high smarts stat will give you a head start for your academic and career pursuits.
2. Become a Scientist
Next up, you need to dive into academics and work your way into a scientific career. With your smarts already maxed out, this part should be fairly straightforward.
- Study hard during primary and secondary school to get great grades.
- Apply for scholarships to fund your education, and once you finish high school, pursue a degree in Chemistry or Biology at university.
- Throughout your time at university, continue to Study Harder to graduate with top marks.
- After graduation, head to the Jobs tab and search for a position as a Jr. Scientist. Apply repeatedly until you land the job, and work your way up from there.
3. Father Triplets
Starting a family will be essential to completing this challenge, and it’s trickier than it sounds. The goal is to father triplets, which will likely take several attempts.
- Get into a relationship, and when the time comes for your partner to conceive, make sure to not use protection during the deed.
- Once your partner is pregnant, encourage her to keep the baby.
- If you don’t have triplets the first time, repeat the process. Be persistent, as you’ll need to keep trying until you get the results you’re after.
4. Own a Primate
Now for the fun part—acquiring a primate. Exotic pets are a bit of a challenge, but with patience, you’ll get there.
- Head to the Pets menu within the Activities tab and select the Exotic Pet Dealer.
- Keep checking back every year, as the dealer offers a new pet each time. When you find a primate, buy it and add it to your collection.
5. Have a 100% Relationship with a Cat
The final task requires you to adopt and build a relationship with a cat. Here’s how to do it:
- Go to the Pets menu again, where you can either adopt a cat from an Animal Shelter or buy one from a Cat Breeder.
- Once you’ve adopted your new feline friend, head to the Relationships tab.
- Select your cat and spend time bonding with it. You can build your relationship by giving it baths, treats, and simply hanging out together. Keep doing this until your relationship bar is at 100%.
